OUTCOMES OF FINAL STAGE TRAINING

2.1 Theory Training

2.1.1 Environmentally Friendly, Safe, and Considerate Attitude Towards Others in Traffic. Behavior in Slippery Road Conditions.

After the training, the student:

  • knows factors that increase risks in traffic;
  • understands the advantages of an environmentally friendly, safe, and considerate driving style;
  • knows factors affecting grip between the road and tires;
  • recognizes personal weaknesses affecting traffic behavior and can adjust behavior accordingly;
  • is motivated to drive in an environmentally friendly, safe, and considerate manner.

2.1.2 Practical Training for Avoiding Risks in Slippery Road Conditions

After the training, the student:

  • knows how much time and space it takes for a vehicle to stop;
  • understands that even a slight increase or decrease in vehicle speed significantly affects the driver's ability to stop the vehicle;
  • understands that the braking distance on slippery roads is much longer than on dry asphalt;
  • understands that depending on weather conditions and road surface, the length of the braking distance varies;
  • is motivated to drive at a speed appropriate to the conditions and maintain the correct following and lateral distances.

2.2 Driving Training

2.2.1 Deepening the Environmentally Friendly, Risk-Averse, and Considerate Driving Style

After the training, the student:

  • has a realistic understanding of personal driving-related behavior patterns;
  • is motivated to drive in an environmentally friendly, risk-averse, and considerate manner.

2.2.2 Performing Exercises to Avoid Risks in Slippery Road Conditions

After the training, the student:

  • has a realistic understanding of the skills and capabilities necessary to cope with sudden emergency situations;
  • can perform emergency braking;
  • can use techniques necessary for maneuvering around obstacles;
  • can choose different braking techniques based on road conditions and trajectory and understands vehicle handling during the braking process;
  • understands that the driver's options for taking action to restore safety in emergency situations are limited;
  • is motivated to drive in an environmentally friendly, risk-averse, and considerate manner.
